In October 2021, the Museu do Vitral opened its doors in the restored Casa da Vandoma in Porto, right in the historic center.
A journey of color and light, this museum center, which is unique on the Iberian Peninsula and one of the few in the world, offers the viewer the opportunity to appreciate a wide selection of works by João Aquino Antunes, such as decorative panels, several abstract art installations, the famous traditional stained glass windows, original sketches that gave rise to several famous works, models and a kaleidoscope of 400 colors of glass.
The Museu do Vitral helps us understand the fantastic and remarkable work of Atelier Antunes. Founded in 1906 and considered the oldest in Portugal, it was internationally recognized for its stunning works.
