Located in Matosinhos, a city that invests in culture and social development, Casa da Arquitetura is the first international centre that especially values architecture, dedicating itself to its exhibition, archive, studies and art. It is crucial to think about the contemporary architecture condition and vocation in a constantly changing world in the most diverse social and cultural dimensions. Casa da Arquitetura asserts itself as a “foster of new narratives and new discourses about the past, present and future of Architecture.”
The space is divided into three nuclei of activities: (a) Estates and collections, to treat the architectural collection; (b) Visits, with thematic itineraries, aimed at the general public or professionals and (c) Exhibitions, opening and disseminating disciplinary themes of architecture to a vast audience.
The price of the exhibitions varies between 4 and 8 €, and free on Sundays for children under 12 and friends/associates. 50% discount if you are a student or senior. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.
