Travel Guide of the City and Region
Located in Miramar, in the municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, this beach bathed by the Atlantic is the setting for incredible landscapes.
This beauty is mainly due to the well-known 18th century Chapel of Senhor da Pedra, built on rocks by the sea and said to be the only one constructed with its back to the sea. In June, the beach receives a pilgrimage in honour of Senhor da Pedra, starting on Sunday of the Holy Trinity until the following Tuesday.
Beach with extensive sand and made up of dunes, easily accessible and has several beach support services. For entertainment, it offers a renovated seafront promenade and a new boulevard with beach bars and restaurants, serving local snacks.
Praia do Senhor da Pedra is a beach awarded a Blue Flag and Gold Quality 2021.
