Green Space
The "Virtues Garden" grows on one of the slopes of Oporto creating a vertical green space with one of the most beautiful views of the city. It was drawn during the 19th century and owes its name to the water source in its foothills, which was believed to have the virtue of curing the diseases.
Visitors can enter through its upper level, descend the terraces and enjoy some works of sculpture that are spread throughout the garden. These ones were created both in the 21st century and go back to the creation of its original garden.
The Passeio das Virtudes (at the top and outside of the gardens) is also known for its sunset and during the summer offers live music every Sunday.
